Managing Partner

Mike has spend the majority of his career in management. The most recent was in the public sector managing 100+ employees. In 2006, when his daughter was born, he decided it was time for a career change. He took some time away from the workforce and spent it at home with his daughter. With a passion for the financial business, Mike started studying and obtained his life licence and mutual funds licence in 2009. In 2010 he entered the general insurance market and started with Tench-MacDiarmid Insurance.
Although he enjoyed the general insurance business, he wanted to focus more on the financial side of the business. Since then Mike has obtained his Certified Financial Planner designation (2014) and his Group Benefits Associate designation (2016) and is currently working towards his Chartered Life Underwriter designation.
Away from work, Mike volunteers his time with the Cadets Canada program as an instructor and Officer within the Cadet Instructor Cadre, a reserve unit of the Canadian Forces. He have been with the program for over twelve years and holds the rank of Captain.
